The EducationUSA Center in Accra, Ghana, is part of a network of over 400 advising centers in more than 170 countries.

There are two full-time EducationUSA advisors at the embassy. They provide a variety of services to assist students in Ghana understand how American Universities application works. Their services are free of charge and open to the public.

The United States is the most popular destination in the world for students from different countries. There are presently around 3,100 students from Ghana studying in the United States, making Ghana the second largest sender of students from the African continent, after only Nigeria.

Undergraduate Beginners Information Session:

Are you a recent Senior High School graduate or Do you want to study in the United States for a Bachelor’s degree? 

The upcoming sessions will be held on the following dates, starting at 2 p.m. and concluding at 3:30 p.m. Please note that the sessions start promptly on time:

  • May 8 @ 2:00pm – 3:30pm
  • May 15 @ 2:00pm – 3:30pm
  • May 22 @ 2:00pm – 3:30pm
  • June 5 @ 2:00pm – 3:30pm
  • June 12 @ 2:00pm – 3:30pm
  • June 19 @ 2:00pm – 3:30pm

(Starting May through December, undergraduate sessions will be held every Monday @ 2 p.m. prompt excluding American and Ghanaian holidays. For a list of holidays, go to http://ghana.usembassy.gov/holidays.html.)

Graduate Beginners Information Session:

Are you a recent university graduate? Are you interested in a master’s degree in America? 

The upcoming sessions will be held on the following dates, starting at 2 p.m. and concluding at 3:30 p.m. Please note that the sessions start promptly on time:

  • May 3 @ 2:00pm – 3:30pm
  • May 24 @ 2:00pm – 3:30pm with MSU MasterCard Scholars Program
  • June 7 @ 2:00pm – 3:30pm
  • June 21 @ 2:00pm – 3:30pm
  • July 5 @ 2:00pm – 3:30pm
  • July 19 @ 2:00pm – 3:30pm
